Chaddok replaces the phone number Korean drivers leave on their windshield with a QR sticker. When someone needs the car moved, they scan the sticker; Chaddok calls and texts the owner and relays the conversation, so neither side ever sees the other's phone number.
In Korea it is common to display a personal phone number on the dashboard so others can reach you about parking. That number is exposed to anyone walking by and is widely misused for spam, stalking and scams. Chaddok keeps the convenience and removes the exposure.
How it works
- The driver registers a sticker with their phone number and plate (Kakao login or SMS verification).
- A person who needs the car moved scans the QR code and picks a reason (move the car, minor accident, other).
- Chaddok calls the owner with an automated voice message and sends a text with a private reply link. The owner answers on the call keypad or the web ("5 minutes", "10 minutes", etc.).
- Both sides can keep chatting in the browser. No app install, and phone numbers are never shared.
